Celebrating 30 Years

It’s hard to believe we are celebrating our thirtieth year of providing lifelong learning to alumni and friends.

We are extremely fortunate that over the years our teaching staff have encompassed some of the finest St. Mike’s has to offer - from former Professors and instructors Dr. Barry Brown, Dr. Marion Norman I.B.V.M., Dr. Ellen Leonard CSJ to Dr. Moira McQueen - current Director of the Catholic Institute of Bioethics and Professor Ann Dooley of Celtic Studies.

Augmenting their excellence and keeping students coming back year after year are our roster of exceptional instructors - well known broadcaster Rick Phillips, Dr. Eric Domville, pre-Opera talk guru and Yeats’ scholar, Douglas Cowling, writer of the Classical Kids productions, Professors JoAnna Dutka and Jo Aitken, English instructors extraordinaire, plus many, many more - an embarrassment of riches, as our attendees will attest.

From the vista outside my window I can see condos springing up all the way down Bay Street. Hopefully their new inhabitants will discover what our students already know - there’s lifelong learning here!

What we have learned from others becomes our own reflection.
