We’re Delighted to Announce Our New CARP / St. Michael’s Partnerships

As we celebrate 25 years of Continuing Education at St. Michael’s, we’re delighted to welcome CARP to our campus. Not just for retired persons, CARP offers the benefits of Advocacy and Education to all its members and through its “CARP on Campus” initiatives has become one of the acknowledged partners for lifelong learning here at St. Mike’s. Blue Card passport holders will enjoy a complimentary CARP membership while CARP members will enjoy a 10% discount on the purchase of a Blue Card passport or on the tuition for any course or workshop.

This year also marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Marshall McLuhan, noted English professor and media guru. While he was no longer with us when the Continuing Education Division was officially launched in April of 1986, he understood only too well what drives the programs and the people who participate. “Anyone who tries to make a distinction between education and entertainment”, he once wrote, “doesn’t know the first thing about either.” We invite you to participate in a variety of stimulating courses and workshops in 2011-2012 to be both educated and entertained. We think you’ll be glad you came.
